Frequently Asked Questions

No. This is out of pocket only. If you have Premera or Aetna I can direct you to another clinic I work for that accepts both.
-
Yes, I do deep tissue massage. My method isn’t forceful, it’s intentional. I carefully sink in deeper and work with your breath. Eventually your body allows me to go deeper.
-
This will vary based on how your body responds. I’ll recommend an amount of sessions based on your goals after the session.
-
My approach combines multiple techniques such as structural bodywork, movement re-education, and clinical massage to create custom plans for my clients so the benefits can last.
-
This is perfectly normal after a massage- especially after deeper work. Manipulating the tissue causes micro tears which causes an inflammatory response similar to the soreness felt after a hard workout at the gym. This can last up to 2 days after the session. Make sure you hydrate and take a rest day!
-
Stay hydrated, light stretching, be mindful of posture, avoid strenuous activity, take a rest day, and schedule a follow up massage. Consistency is key!

Please arrive freshly showered.
Don’t eat a heavy meal 90 minutes prior to the massage as it can stimulate digestion which leads to a bathroom break mid session. A light snack is ok.
Use the bathroom before the session.
