Meet Your Practitioner!

I discovered massage as a calling to help those in pain, to bring peace to the body, and regain quality of life.

I worked in a warehouse for 8 years until I decided to pursue something more meaningful. I still wanted to work with my hands without breaking my back, but I wanted to do it in a peaceful environment.

That's when the idea of massage was born.

After graduating from Washington Spa Academy, I spent most weekends attending various bodywork classes through out Washington. Many of these classes were treatment focused on specific pathologies such as neck and shoulder dysfunctions, migraines, importance of diaphragm work, low back pain, etc. I was hooked! This helped me earn over 230 CE hours in my first 2 years.

I’m currently back in school, this time to become a Structural Medicine Specialist. An advanced form of manual therapy focused on posture assessment, movement, manipulating connective tissue (fascia) to treat musculoskeletal disorders and improve alignment in the body. Structural Medicine will be added as a separate service in 2030 for those who are interested. ‍ ‍

Many people dealing with chronic pain often find themselves in a ‘holding pattern’. An example would be a raised shoulder or a forward neck. This can be a result of a past injury, new job, hobby, etc. The affected muscle(s) aren’t functioning properly, they eventually become weak or overworked leading to a compensatory pattern which cause imbalances in posture and movement.

To address these patterns we add active movements to help re-educate the muscle(s) and increase range of motion.

Through bodywork, movement re-education, awareness, and re-establishing the mind-muscle connection we create an opportunity for the body to move freely and properly.

Our bodies hold the power to change. We can encourage that change.

I offer personalized treatment to help create longer lasting relief. With that are some basic home stretches to ensure that you are comfortable and aware of your body as we take on this journey together.
